UPDATED: FY 2025 Budget Central
Welcome to the Town of North Reading's Fiscal Year 2025 budget central page. The Town operates on a fiscal year (FY) that runs from July 1st through June 30th, and is currently in FY 2024. FY 2025 begins on July 1, 2024 and ends June 30, 2025. The budget for FY 2025 will be considered at the June 10, 2024 Spring Annual Town Meeting.
Fiscal Year 2025 will bring significant financial challenges for the Town, and discussions regarding a potential Proposition 2 1/2 Override (tax increase) are ongoing. This page has been created to provide information for residents during the FY 2025 budget process.
Recent updates are in bold below. The updates include information about potential service reductions due to the financial challenges facing the Town, as well as the impact of a potential Proposition 2 1/2 override vote.
