Please join the Town in updating the North Reading Open Space and Recreation Plan!

The Town of North Reading is updating its 2013 Open Space and Recreation Plan. The Plan update will:

  • Guide the Town’s actions in maintaining, protecting, and improving its open spaces, parks, and recreational resources by setting goals and priorities for the next seven years, and
  • Make the Town eligible for state funds to acquire and improve conservation and recreation land.

This website provides the latest news on the status of the project and how to get involved.

How can I get involved?

The first step in the plan update process is to learn from the community about their priorities. An anonymous survey is available online here. Information about the survey, as well as the link, was included in the November water bill mailing. This is the informational flyer with the survey link and an announcement about the first public meeting.

The first public meeting was held on December 5, 2019. Click here to view the presentation given.

If you’re interested in volunteering to help the Town update its plan, please contact Danielle McKnight, Town Planner, at dmcknight@northreadingma.gov or (978) 357-5206.
