SSAT History and Goals
The Social Services Action Team (SSAT) was created in 2012 as part of the CIT.
From 2013 to 2019, the SSAT published and updated a Guide to Social Services in North Reading, outlining a wide range of services available for residents.
In 2020, SSAT members helped to support the Age Friendly North Reading assessment. For more information about Age Friendly North Reading, visit the Elder Services webpage.
SSAT members supported work in the following areas of interest, now led by other entities.
In 2023, the SSAT returns to its roots. Meetings bring together social services providers to identify emerging social service needs among North Reading households, to share best practices with one another, and to update each other's knowledge of resources for families and individuals in distress.
