North Reading Fall Yard Waste Collections

A curbside collection of yard waste will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2023 and again on Saturday, December 9, 2023.  Yard waste must be curbside by 6:30 a.m.

Please not the following:

  • Leaves must be in paper bags only
  • NO PLASTIC BAGS
  • NO BARRELS
  • Branches must be no greater than 3 inches in diameter and cut to lengths of no more than 3 feet
  • Branches must be bundled and tied (not bagged)

The Yard Waste pile at the DPW Garage, 166 Chestnut Street, is open to allow residents to drop off yard waste on Saturdays from April 1st to November 30th between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Sundays from November 1st to November 30th between the hours of 12:00 p.m.and 4:00 p.m. There are two separate piles; one for grass clippings & leaves and the other for brush, please deposit yard waste in the appropriate pile.

Waste Oil Recycling

Residents may drop off waste oil at the DPW Garage on the last Saturday of every month from April to November between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon.
