Volunteer Committee Members Needed for Recycling, Veterans Memorial, and Wastewater Planning Advisory Committees

The Town of North Reading is seeking individuals willing to serve as members on the following three committees appointed by the Select Board:

Recycling Committee

This Committee works to identify ways to reduce and control the disposal of solid waste.  The Committee is also involved in an ongoing program to educate the public on the benefits of recycling.  Meets as needed.

Veterans Memorial Committee

This Committee provides assistance to the Department of Veterans Services with Memorial Day and Veterans Day town events, as well as other activities.

Wastewater Planning Advisory Committee

This recently re-established Committee will act in an advisory capacity to the Select Board to assist in planning and make recommendations regarding wastewater (sewer) issues.  The Committee will interact with the Department of Public Works, the Town’s consultants, and other stakeholders to assist in implementing a wastewater system within a limited service area.
