Request for Quotes - KidSpot Playground Site Preparation

The Town of North Reading, hereinafter called the Owner and Awarding Authority, is seeking quotations from qualified contractors for the following preparation work for KidSpot Playground includes but is not limited to the following scope:

Task 1 - Removal and Demolition
• Removal/demolition of playground equipment, associated concrete footing and railroad ties within the project limits depicted in Attachment A.
• All equipment/materials to be disposed of by dumpsters supplied by the Contractor.
• Lower swings are to be protected and remain in their existing condition.

Task 2- Site Grading
• Materials shall be removed down to grade as directed by the Town of North Reading Parks & Recreation Department.
• All materials shall be removed and trucked off site to an approved disposal site, dumpsters or as Directed by the Town.
• Final grading shall consist of an accessible entrance walkway to the playground area.

Quotations for the Statement of Work being sought are due on or before May 18, 2023 by 10:00 AM and are to be emailed to Maria Brown at mbrown@northreadingma.gov and please copy Dan O'Donnell at dodonnell@northreadingma.gov.

Mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, May 11th, 2023 @ 10:00am at KidSpot Playground, 164 Chestnut Street, North Reading, MA 01864.
