Notice Regarding Discolored Water / Water Main Break on Route 62

The Department of Public Works is working to repair a large water main break that occurred on Route 62 in the area of Harvest Lane. Traffic is being detoured in the area. This repair required an immediate shut down of water to a limited number of homes in that area. Due to the size of this break, there are several neighborhoods throughout town that are experiencing brown or rust-colored water. This discoloring should clear over the next couple of hours. Those experiencing discolored water are advised to run an outdoor faucet until the water runs clear.
