What's required under the energy code for new homes and large additions
New homes and large additions are required to
- submit a Rescheck for the entire project
- submit the S/D and J Manual for the mechanicals
- Have an air leakage duct test done - this is not optional
- Submit proof that the heating systems are 95% efficient with the building application
- Bath fans must comply with the energy code
- Kitchen exhaust cannot be over 400 CFM's
- Submit a passing blower door test report, conducted by a third party - not optional.
