North Reading Interbasin Transfer Application Hearing

The Town of North Reading has applied for an increase in the volume the Town is allowed to draw from the Merrimack River Basin (through the Andover Water Department) under the Interbasin Transfer Act. The application seeks to increase the maximum daily volume drawn under this act from 1.5 million gallons per day to 3.0 million gallons per day.
This application is on the agenda of a meeting of the Water Resources Commission on July 9, 2020, and the Commission has scheduled a public hearing to receive comments on their draft recommendations to be held on July 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM.
