Aerial Application to Control Mosquito Larvae Between April 16 and April 24, 2024

The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project will be conducting a helicopter application of the biological larvicide, Bti (Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis), to control mosquito larvae between April 16 and April 24, 2024. Wetlands currently being evaluated for this application in North Reading are located at or near Batchelder Ave., Chestnut St., Crestwood Rd., Elma Rd., Equestrian Dr., Lakeside Blvd., MacIntyre Dr., Main St./Winter St., Marblehead St., Park St., Salem St./Forest St.Shady Hill Dr./Anthony Rd., Swan Pond Rd., and wetlands around Martin’s Pond and north and south of Rita Mullin Field.
