North Reading Spring Curbside Collection of Yard Waste

A curbside collection of yard waste will take place on Saturday, April 9, 2022 and again on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Yard Waste must be curbside by 6:30 a.m. and in paper bags only.

Please note the following:

• no plastic bags
• no barrels
• branches must be no greater than three inches in diameter and cut to lengths of no more than three feet
• branches must be bundled and tied (not bagged)

Compost Center

The Compost Center at the DPW Garage, 166 Chestnut Street, is open to allow residents to drop off yard waste on Saturdays from April 1st to November 30th between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. There are two separate piles; one for grass clipppings & leaves and the other for brush, please deposit yard waste in  the appropriate pile. 

Waste Oil Recycling   

Resident may drop off waste oil at the DPW Garage on the last Saturday of every month from April to November between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon.
