All Young Adult programs are open to the youth of North Reading. Most programs are drop-in and do not require registration.

Mondays 

Spring Mentoring - REGISTER HERE
Mentors: Grades 9-12, Mentees: Grades 3-8
Mondays starting 3/11-4/8, 3:00-4:30pm at the Middle School/High School Media Center   
Description: Middle School and Elementary students (3rd-5th) will be paired with high school mentors. The sessions include a half-hour of homework help and a half-hour of fun, guided activity.

Middle School Youth Action Team
Grades 6-8
Mondays starting  4/29-6/10, 3:30-4:30 at Flint Memorial Library
Description: This group will focus on creating strong social connections and engaging in service projects throughout the greater North Reading Community. 

New Adult Board Game Night
Ages 18-26
First Monday of Every Month 6-8pm in Flint Memorial Library Activity Room
Description: Board games, snacks, and fun with friends! 

De-Stress & Decompress
Grades 6-12
Last Monday of Every Month 6-7pm in Flint Memorial Library Teen Space
Description: Board games, snacks, and soda will be provided, and teens and tweens can hang out in the Library Teen Space! No registration needed!

Middle School Drop-in Homework Help
Grades 6-8
Every Tuesday 3:00p-5:00pm at the Flint Memorial Library Study Room 3
Description: Two tutors are available to support middle schoolers with their homework. No registration needed! 

LGBTQIA+ Teen Meet Ups
Grades 7-12
First Tuesday of Every Month 6:30-7:30pm at Flint Memorial Library 
Description: This affinity group creates a safe space for LGBTQIA+ teens to meet up, make friends, discuss shared experiences, participate in fun activities, and engage in social justice work. No registration needed!

Home School Family Meet Ups 
Grades K-8
First Wednesday of Every Month 3:30-4:30pm at Flint Memorial Library 
Description: Engaging and educational programming for homeschooled youth and opportunities for families to chat. Siblings are welcome to attend. No registration is required. Snacks provided!

Teen and Tween Crafternoons 
Grades 6-12
Last Wednesday of Every Month 3:30p-5:00 in Flint Memorial Library Study Room
Description: A drop-in for teens and tweens to make crafts, hang-out, and eat snacks! No registration needed!

Multicultural/BIPOC Teen Meet Ups
Grades 7-12

Disabled and Neurodivergent Teen Meet Ups

Teen Podcasting Club
Grades 7-12
Last Thursday of Every Month 3:30-4:30pm at Flint Memorial Library 
Description: This club helps teens and tweens learn how they can create their own podcasts, and gives them the skills and tools to work independently or in groups. No registration needed!

New Adult Job Skills/Support Drop-In
Ages 18-26
Every Friday 1:00-2:30pm on the first floor of Flint Memorial Library 
Description: New Adults (18-26) can get resume review, application help, interview prep, and other job skills support. 

Teen String Theory (Learn to Sew/Knit)
Grades 7-12
First Friday of Every Month 3:30p-5:00 in Flint Memorial Library Study Room  
Description: Teens and tween can learn how to sew, knit, and engage in other fiber arts crafts! Materials and tools will be provided. 

Family Board Games
All Ages 
Third Friday of Every Month 3:30p-5:00pm at the Flint Memorial Library Activity Room
Description: Everyone can play board and card games. Snacks and games will be provided!

Youth Comics & Writing Club (4th-6th)
Grades 4-6
Last Friday of Every Month 3:30p-4:30 in Flint Memorial Library Study Room  
Description: Fourth-Sixth graders can learn how to make and draw their own comics, and engage in creative writing fun!
