Polling Place Centralization
At their meeting on June 1, 2009, and in accordance with MGL 54:24, the Board of Selectmen voted to centralize election voting for all four precincts to: St. Theresa's Church - Parish Hall - 51 Winter Street
- All voters will vote at the Parish Hall in their respective precinct
- Each of the four precincts will be clearly identified with signage
In order to accommodate parishioners and voters with access to the Church for religious services, as well as the Parish Hall for voting, please review the diagram and note the following:
- There is only one entrance and one exit off of Winter Street -- Rte. 62
- The first parking area on the left is designated for Rectory, church staff & visitor parking
- HP parking is along the west-side of the Parish Hall
- HP voter entrance and exit is also along the west-side of the Parish Hall closest to the HP parking
- The rear-parking area is designated for election workers
- The east-parking area is designated for voter parking
The regular parking scheme as depicted by the pavement markings will be used
- Parking is angle-in, straight-forward, "stacked" parking
- Exit parking lot by driving FORWARD into the exit travel-lane and then turn onto Rte. 62
- For safety reasons, vehicles should NOT back up to exit the parking lot
