Notice for Property Owners Along Main Street, Concord Street, and Portions of Park Street, North Street, and Lowell Road

The October 2021 Town Meeting approved funding to perform a preliminary engineering design of a proposed sanitary sewer system in Town. The new sewer system, if constructed, would be located on Main Street, Park Street (West of Main Street) to Concord Street as well as North Street (West of Main Street) to Lowell Road. The Town has contracted with Wright-Pierce to perform engineering design and Wright-Pierce has subcontracted with Doucet Survey to perform the ground survey.

Doucet Survey will need to measure features in the field along the sewer route. One of the features is to take measurements of each building’s front corners. The surveyors will also verify locations of other features in the front yard of properties along the route. This will help Wright-Pierce determine how each property could potentially connect to the gravity sewer.

After the completion of the preliminary design, Town Meeting will be asked in the fall to determine whether or not to fund final design and construction of the new sewer system.

Doucet Survey is scheduled to begin work on Tuesday January 18, 2022 and expects the work to last through February to complete. You do not need to be at your property when the surveyors are present. They will be in marked vehicles and will carry identification on them.

The Town appreciates your cooperation.
