What We Do:

What is recycling?  That’s easy: It’s allowing old paper, plastics, metals and other items to be diverted from landfills, collected, and converted to new paper, plastic, and metals. However, before you recycle something consider 2 things:

  1. Reduce – If you have a choice of products, choose one that uses less packaging.  This includes bringing your own bags to the store.
  2. Reuse – Many items can be reused by you or others.  If an item says its “disposable,” it's your choice to treat it that way or reuse it. For more information on reuse options, click here.

It's important to know what types of items should be recycled, disposed in the trash, or disposed of another way. The hauler could refuse to pick up inappropriate items in either the recycle bin, trash container, or left on the curb.
