On May 23, 2016, Kinder Morgan / Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company provided the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) official notice of its withdrawal its application associated with the Northeast Energy Direct Project. For a copy of the withdrawal notice, click here.
On April 22, 2016, Kinder Morgan notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) that it announced on April 20, 2016 that the company would suspend all further work and expenditures on the Project. For a copy of the official correspondence to FERC, click here.
Department of Public Utilities Hearings
The Department of Public Utilities held public comment hearings in several Masssachusetts communities beginning March 29, 2016. Further Information may be found here.
Kinder Morgan hosted a public commuity forum at Spinelli's Function Facility on Route One South in Lynnfield on Thursday, October 28, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Landowners received notification of the community forum in the mail. A copy of the notice may be found here.
On August 24, 2015, the Board of Selectmen approved a resolution to become an "intervenor" in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's review of the pipeline once an application is filed by Kinder Morgan. For a copy fo the resolution, click here.
