APPLICATION
Complete the form and return it to the Board of Appeals Office along with a fee of $150.00 ($100 - application fee, $50 – advertising fee).
Check is made payable to the Town of North Reading.
VARIANCE
You will need to submit a certified plot plan with a sketch of your addition or planned construction, clearly showing the distance from the lot lines.
SPECIAL PERMIT
You will need to submit a floor plan of the property. If you are renting, you will need a letter granting permission from the property owner.
Complete the application stating exactly what the nature of the home-based business will be. Example; consulting, phone sales, etc.
NOTIFICATION OF ABUTTERS
These hearing notices can be sent with a Certificate of Mailing or Certified Mailing. In either case, the receipts must be stamped in at the Post Office and turned in to the Board of Appeals before the hearing.
