North Reading has a three tier, increasing block water rate structure. Under this rate structure, water consumption up to 110 gallons per day is charged at the first tier rate of $5.80 per 1,000 gallons. If water consumption exceeds 110 gallons per day, the customer enters the second tier, and the water used in excess of 110 gallons per day is charged at the second tier rate of $8.50 per 1,000 gallons. If water consumption exceeds 440 gallons per day, the customer enters the third tier, and the water use in excess of 440 gallons per day is charged at $11.60 per
1,000 gallons. In addition to the usage based charges, there is a $5.00 service charge per bill.

The prior water meter reading, listed beneath the word PRIOR on the bill,
The current water meter reading, the beneath the word CURRENT on the bill,
The last reading date, listed to the right of the words LAST READING on the bill, and
The current reading date, listed to the right of the words READING DATE on the bill.
