Town officials are preparing for blizzard conditions due in the region on Friday through Saturday. Please note the following important announcements:
Stay off the roads beginning Friday afternoon. The Governor is likely to declare a state of emergency ordering vehicles off the road. You should begin to think ahead what errands or supplies you need. Take action today.
No on-street parking is allowed during the storm. Assist the DPW personnel in performing critical snow fighting operations by making sure all vehicles are parked on private property.
Fire hydrants will likely be buried by snow. Be a good neighbor and shovel snow once conditions permit.
Check in on your elderly neighbors. Make sure they are safe. The town has plans to open a warming shelter in the event power is lost during the storm.
