MEETING NOTICES
A revised 3-part meeting notice form is available at the Town Clerk's Office and must be used for all meetings beginning with July 1, 2010. This revised notice provides space for the inclusion of an agenda on the same form as the meeting information, as now required under the new Open Meeting Law. The agenda must consist of "a listing of topics that the chair reasonably anticipates will be discussed at the meeting."
Boards and committees may also download a revised meeting notice form provided through the links below whether submitting a typed or hand-written notice or one to include a computer print-out of an agenda directly on the notice. If a down-loaded notice is used, three (3) copies must be provided to the Town Clerk's Office at the time of processing.
In order for the Town to begin compliance with the requirement of “24/7” accessibility for viewing meeting notices, an additional copy of all meeting notices filed with this office will also be placed in a binder located in the foyer of the Police Station. This location will allow notices to be accessible to the public at all times, as required under the law. However all inquiries regarding the contents of the binder or the Open Meeting Law in general must be directed to the Town Clerk's Office and NOT the Police Department.
